Todmorden is a thriving market town nestling at the intersection of three valleys on the Yorkshire Lancashire border at the head of the Calder Valley, overlooked by Stoodley Pike which is an impressive monument to the Napoleonic Wars.  Todmorden has a vibrant community enjoying stunning pennine scenery and fine victorian architecture.  There are both indoor and outdoor markets situated in the town centre adjacent the bus station and the town hall.

Next door to the ground is Centre Vale Park with facilities including childrens playground, crown green bowling, tennis courts, pitch and putt, and the leisure centre with swimming pool, all with a wooded backdrop affording short woodland walks.  For the more discerning walker the site is very handy for walking the Pennine Way and the Calderdale Way. with many other footpaths, towpaths, bridleways (Towneley Trail) and packhorse tracks to tempt both hikers and cyclists.

We at Todmorden Cricket Club endeavour to make your stay here as comfortable as possible.  Children and pets are welcomed at Centre Vale as long as they are kept supervised.  Below are some images of the views from the Caravan and Tent area.

Below is a review from one of our recent visitors to the Centre Vale Caravan Park.

Thank you Todmorden Cricket Club for a fantastic stay at your caravan site. The welcome you gave me being an American RV owner was typically Yorkshire. Being a Lancastrian, the cross border banter from everyone was good humoured, and good fun.

Everyone, officials, members of the club, and not least the staff are really welcoming, and an evening in the Club Bar makes you appreciate the pride and warmth of the locals ( not to be missed).

An added bonus in the summer months of course is the cricket, with 2 senior games most weekends and the juniors through the week, which my wife and I enjoyed as they show joyous enthusiasm.

We had a very pleasant stay, and will be back, but early booking is essential as this little pennine gem is a very popular site, with handy circular walks, the adjacent public park, and close proximity to the local market.

Thank you everyone for making us feel part of the club, it was most enjoyable.

Geoff & Rena Holt.
